Do I Need a Referral for Chiropractic Care?

Most insurance plans do not require a referral, although some may require prior authorization. We'll verify your insurance benefits before you begin care and explain any coverage requirements. We also recommend reviewing your insurance policy for specific benefits and limitations.

Do I Need a Referral for Massage Therapy?

A doctor's referral is required when billing medical insurance. Coverage is based on medical necessity and your individual insurance plan.

How Long Are Chiropractic Appointments?

Your initial appointment with Dr. Gard typically takes about 40 minutes, allowing time for an evaluation and discussion of your concerns.

Regular chiropractic appointments generally take about 10 minutes.

What Should I Wear to My Appointment?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily. Most chiropractic adjustments are performed while you're lying on a treatment table.

Do You Accept Medical Insurance?

Yes. Many insurance plans include chiropractic benefits, whether through in-network or out-of-network providers.

We'll verify your insurance benefits at no charge and explain your anticipated out-of-pocket costs before care begins.

Please note: We do not accept workers' compensation claims, Oregon Health Plan (OHP)/Medicaid, or Veterans Affairs/TRICARE insurance.

Do You Accept Auto Accident Insurance Claims?

Yes. Chiropractic care for injuries related to an auto accident is often covered through Personal Injury Protection (PIP) insurance, sometimes at 100%, depending on your policy. Deductibles, coverage limits, and other restrictions may apply.

Before beginning care, we'll need your PIP claim number and your insurance adjuster's contact information so we can verify your benefits and identify any coverage limitations.

What If I Don't Have Insurance? Are There Ways to Reduce the Cost of Chiropractic Care?

Yes. Walker Road Chiropractic participates in ChiroHealthUSA, a medical discount program that provides reduced rates on many chiropractic services for you and your eligible family members.

ChiroHealthUSA is not insurance, but it can help make chiropractic care more affordable, including services that traditional insurance may not cover.

Annual membership covers you and your eligible dependents, provides immediate access to discounted rates, and does not automatically renew.

We'll also explain your anticipated out-of-pocket costs and provide a Good Faith Estimate before you begin care.

Do You Accept FSA, HSA, or HRA Accounts?

Yes. We accept eligible payments through Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Health Savings Accounts (HSA), and Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRA).

We can also provide an itemized receipt or superbill for your records or reimbursement needs.
